This past summer was one wild adventure! I had the opportunity this summer to do my pastoral internship here at Falls Baptist, as well as travel with the summer ensemble. I am amazed at how God finds ways to stretch me. Just when I start to feel comfortable, God leads me to take that next step. That was the story of this summer for me. Whether it was ministering through song to a church full of scary unknown people, or "babysitting" forty-some fourth graders during Vacation Bible School who were more intent on their fidget spinners than Ramble Scramble, the Lord found many ways to challenge my faith this summer.
With every test, God enables. One of those enablements was certainly the training I have received these years I been at Baptist College of Ministry. One of the main challenges of the summer was recruiting for the bus route I was assigned to for Vacation Bible School. The combined forces of previous training through Netcasters class, Cola-Clash, and a healthy dose of faith-based prayer, I could go out knowing that I was not only equipped practically, but backed by all the power of God, and God came through every time! The most exciting thing is that I know I can take these tools, that I have gained at BCM, with me anywhere in my future ministry, and God will use them the same way He did here, at my internship at the Falls.
