In August, work began on renovating what had been the old Music Hall. Plans call for a new Chapel with upgraded staging, lighting, and sound. The renovated hall will also include expanded storage and cosmetic upgrades, and will be used to host recitals, small concerts, and other special events. Work is projected to be complete by January 1, 2010.

• 8/6/09 - Demolition work begins on the stage, platform, and backstage areas
• 8/12/09 - Framing and drywalling complete on stage and platform
• 8/13/09 - Electric organ donated to BCM for use in the renovated hall
• 8/15/09 - Backstage and storage framing complete
• 9/4/09 - New lighting and sound wired and installed
• 9/11/09 - Ceiling textured and coated
• 9/29/09 - Wood trim cut, finished, and installed; stage flooring installed
• 10/7/09 - New carpeting laid
• 10/10/09 - Baby grand piano donated for use in BCM chapel services and recitals
• 10/12/09 - First BCM chapel held in the new hall
